On April 8, 2009 Serkan drove in his car, a blue Daewoo Lanos licenseplate 84-GB-HZ, from Winschoten to Utrecht. Since then nothing has been heard from him. On the evening of his disappearance a car company in Utrecht named Relax caught fire. There is a possibility that the fire has something to do with Serkan's disappearance. Serkan has a Turkish appearance, is sturdy build, has short dark hair and a moustache.
